Rated 2 out of 5Â by KarenB frayed after 1 month
I bought these shoes for my 5 year old son. I have not had any problems with durability with Stride Rite shoes until I purchased these. The edge that is just below the ankle is already frayed and falling apart after wearing the shoes about 1 month. The heels are worn so much that the under coloring is showing and almost worn through, making a hole. I have never had a pair of Stride Rite shoes for kids that have worn so FAST! At this rate I will need to buy other shoes for my son in 1 more month. He needs them for school - so this is very disappointing since I wasted my money on these and have to purchase others.

Tried to replace my son's old favorite shoes. Thought this would be it, but it doesn't quite fit the bill, he still chooses to wear his old ones. These shoes take too much effort to get on and off. Difficult to do without sitting down and spending some time on it. He would rather quickly put shoes on to run off and play. These were not the best.

I just purchased our 2nd pair of these shoes for my son now that his feet are bigger. The first pair wore so well considering how active my son is that I decided to buy them again. Unlike other reviewers, I didn't have any problems with velcro detaching or the shoe shredding or falling apart with the first pair that he has been wearing for 8 months. I guess we shall see if the new pair holds up the same.

After a few months these shoes will no longer velcro and the sides around the ankle are coming apart. The quality does not compare to other Stride Rite shoes.

I liked the simple and not so bulky style of this shoe but it started falling apart within a few months. Usually my son's shoes last for almost a year but these started ripping around the inside grey ankle area and the Velcro no longer worked.

I bought these on clearance and paid a cheap price for them.. They have lasted longer than the other light up shoes I have bought for full price. The velcro is working fine. My son has wide fat feet so they are a little tough for getting on but overall- no blisters or complaints from him.
For the clearance price, it was worth it and a good deal-

Rated 1 out of 5Â by MicheleM DO NOT BUY THESE SHOES
These shoes will not last. After 2 weeks they looked terrible. Shredded around the outer ankle. These were hard to get on even with my assistance. Of course I read the terrible reviews after my purchase and I did notice the inside did not seem to have much support as someone else posted.

We had these shoes for about a month and a half before the velcro started peeling off...on both shoes!!! Poorly made!

Rated 1 out of 5Â by UnhappyMommy Quick to wear out
I bought these for my son because we always buy Stride Rite shoes. He is 6, and this is the first time I have been unsatisfied. The shoes began to wear out within 2 weeks. Now after 2 months they will no longer velcro and the sides around the ankle are coming apart. Not sure of the quality of this shoe compared to other Stride Rite shoes. These do not hold up.

I bought the first pair as school shoes. Within 2 months they fell apart, the Velcro came apart, the sole came apart. Stride Rite replaced them with another pair free of charge. The second pair has done the same thing, I'll have to replace them with a different style. I usually have very good luck with Stride Rite shoes, this one was just very poorly made. Do not buy this shoe unless you want to turn around and replace them.
