This are great shoes for comfort and looks. I feel quality is important when children's feet are growing

My son's feet never sweat before. With these shoes they started to sweat profusely and now the shoes are damaged. These are very expensive shoes, look nice, fit nice, but I just wish they wear breathable. It's upsetting to spend so much money on a shoe and he doesn't even get to wear it one season! Outrageous!

These are just a little difficult for my 3 year old to put on by himself. His last pair of SR shoes he could do no problem. He gets frustrated trying to fit his foot in. Once in, though, they're really comfy!

Rated 4 out of 5Â by Angie Very nice shoes, but the color is not true in the pic. They are more of a light brown which is fine with me. They are very well made and comfortable for my son.

I have only bought Stride Rite shoes for my 3yr son and these reinforce my decision. Love these shoes! He was worn them to church w/ khakis and with jeans for play - and they look great! As others have said, yes, they are somewhat difficult to put on (stiff) but the pro to that is they are not easy for him to take off in the car! He has a wide foot (bought W) and has not complained once about them - width is good/comfortable.

Rated 1 out of 5Â by CWS High Quality Price, Low Quality Product
My son loves these shoes. He's comfortable in them and the width gives his toes enough room to wiggle. That being said, for a $50 shoe (more than I spend on shoes myself) I expected my son to outgrow the shoes - not for the shoes to fall apart within a month. Same issue as the rest of the reviews - the stitching on the top of toe became unraveled. Too bad, because it's a really nice looking and comfy shoe. My recommendation to Stride Rite is to find another company to construct these awesome shoes. And when you do, please let me know and I'll give them another shot. Until then, I'm not buying these again. If I pay for a top quality product, I expect a top quality product. This is my expectation when I walk into Stride Rite.

I bought these shoes for my 3 year old son for school. Within 2 weeks, the stitching came apart on the front. Also, the color of insoles leaks so his school socks which are white are all stained now.
I will not recommend these shoes. I have bought stride rite shoes in the past and they all were wonderful but this one I am not sure I would my waste my money on.

My son loves these shoes and usually picks them out to wear. I love that he can walk through a puddle and his feet stay dry. Great for riding his strider on the bike trail in the fall with occasional puddles that pop up. Fit great and very durable even when he drags his toe to slow down on his bike.

Rated 2 out of 5Â by ladylove toe stitching falling out/ to narrow
I had to take this shoe back to the store and swap for a different shoe! I did not like the shoe from the start it was narrow and very hard for my son to put the shoe on, in fact it was even hard for me to even get the shoes on. Only a few weeks into wearing the shoe the stitching started coming apart and the whole shore started falling apart! I was very upset I really like the shoe otherwise
