Rated 2 out of 5 by no arch support This is the third time I bought Sperry(from size 13-5), but first to see it without any arch support. I am not sure if design is changed or simply Stride Rite does not do well with larger sizes. Check for yourself, but not good for my son for everyday wear. April 1, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Summer shoe Looked all over, in Every store, and couldn't find a sandal to fit my boy's feet well. It's amazing how wide and hard/plasticky sandals are made today. Found exactly what we needed here at striderite, which is always my go-to place, since I can never find any other store that matches quality, size, and price. June 26, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by Too hard to get on The shoes fit fine once they're on, but the opening is so small you have to really streeetch it open and force the foot in... Not fun for a 3-year-old. I wish I'd gotten the plain Stride Rite water shoes that are dark blue with the neon green lacing because now I notice they have a velcro opening at the heel... That would be a much better design. One good thing I can say about them though is how much grip and protection they give my little man's footsies. He'll be able to go from kiddie pool to all over the yard, climbing on things, whatever, with these with no slipping or toe-stubbing worries. May 8, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Son loves these We picked the blue and yellow pair and my son loves them! His feet run a little wide so these fit him perfectly. They are well made and he told me they are very comfortable. March 18, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by Problems with odor and comfort My son has complained that the shoes our rough inside and he doesn't like the feel. They also have a horrible odor that we've never experienced in any of our son's other shoes or sandals, so I attribute it to the material. The odor is so bad, they are no longer wearable even though they are barely worn. You can smell them from across the room when he's wearing them. I tried washing them by hand with slightly scented soap, and the smell remained when they were dry. I also put them in the washer yesterday. Neither attempt removed the odor. I purchased them at the store and will try to return them. Also, I just noticed that the shoes are two different sizes. August 12, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Cute shoe...needs breaking in Shoe looks great and fits my son well. However, he did get blisters the first several times wearing the they need a bit of breaking in period. He wore them with socks for a bit. June 1, 2012
Rated 1 out of 5 by Love the shoe, but makes feet smell horrible! I love the look of this shoe. My son has very wide feet and it fits him great and I really like the look of it. LOVE that it is okay for water, also. However, these shoes make his feet smell HORRIBLE and he's only 4. He has only worn these a few times to preschool and has not been running around in them or gotten them wet. He has several other pair of Sperry's and other sandals and these are the only ones we have had an issue with as far as smelly feet. He has only worn them three times and I have already had to wash them even though they were still in pristine condition to try to get rid of the sweaty foot smell. April 9, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great summer shoe... EXCEPT the fact that they STINK! My son wore them in the water one time and ever since then they stink really bad after just a short time of having them on. He is four, so foot odor is not a problem for him. I don't know what to do to get the stink out of the shoe. Everytime he wears them I have to wash his feet immediately after taking them off because the smell is so bad. If anyone has any suggestions on getting the smell out, I would love to hear them. I love this shoe but am disappointed in this regard. July 27, 2011
Rated 4 out of 5 by The idea of the shoe is great. It can get wet and dirty and comes clean really easy. The only problem I have had with the shoe is the liner comes out. The liner also seems to be breaking. Besides that problem I have been pleased. Maybe another liner for each shoe should be included. June 15, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by great shoe, but runs big This is the second pair of these shoes for my son. He really likes them. The pair from last summer still look like new after playing outside everyday. They are a great compromise for a kid who wants to wear flip flops and croc type shoes and the mom who wants a shoe that stays on and protects toes. They do run a full size larger. This didn't seem to be the case with the last pair. Free return shipping or $4.99 like I paid to get them would be a nice improvement instead of the almost $12 I had to pay. Due to the return shipping issue, I would likely not buy a pair online unless I knew the sizing for certain. June 15, 2011
