Meet the original hero.
Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation was founded by
Alex Scott when she was just four years old. Alex, who
had been diagnosed neuroblastoma, wanted to find a
way to help contribute to the fight against childhood
cancer, and opened up her very own lemonade stand in
her front yard. During the first year, Alex had raised
over $2,000. By time of her death in 2004, she had
raised over $1 million and inspired a legacy of hope for
families around the world.
Meet the Stride Rite heroes.
Each month, Stride Rite is honored to spotlight a hero who shows great
strength and bravery in their own fight against childhood cancer.
James loves to walk around the neighborhood with
his dog, Lucy, and have dance parties in his living
room. He feels most special when he gets big hugs
from Mom and Dad and is looking forward to
making new friends this year.
Scarlett loves playing with her sister’s toys and
going for walks. She feels most special when people
acknowledge her infectious smile. This year she
hopes to be done with treatments and looks forward
to meeting her family and friends in person!
Casen loves dinosaurs, reading and playing outside.
His favorite person in the whole world is his big
brother. He feels most special when he reads books
with Mom and Dad and is looking forward to going
to a baseball game this year.
Charlotte loves playing with her brother and going
on adventures outside. She is very compassionate
and wants to take care of everyone around her. She’s
looking forward to visiting her auntie and uncles and
meeting her baby cousin in August.
How you can help.
We encourage our Stride Rite Family to learn more about ALSF and
share with friends and family. We have also provided a few additional
ways you can contribute here.
